Infantrie Regiment 2/90
The front cover of this album is in brown alligator skin dyed black.
The eagle and "infantrie - Regiment. 90" is embossed in silver, the swastika in the eagle was scratched out. The binding is done with dual brown painted rivets, and tied with a dark olive silk cord. This is a typical design, second only to the green canvas kind of commercially produced photo albums. This album is complete and full to the last page, with no celluloid dividers. The pages are black construction paper.

This book belonged to Shutz. Riemers of the Second Company of the 90th Infantry Regiment in the 20th Infantry Division (mot). This unit was originally known as Reichswehrdienststelle Hamburg, and then converted to 20.Infanterie-Division on October 13 1935, then later designated as the 20th Motorized Infantry division in autumn 1937 under the command of General der Infanterie Mauritz von Wiktorin. This covers a period of at least three years, from training in Nov 4 1937, the annexation of Czechoslovakia, The invasion of Poland in September 1939 to around November 1940 in France.

This album covers a soldiers training in Hamburg, it then follows the owner and his comrades into Poland, Bohemian Moravia, the Czech Republic and finally being stationed in France.
